Hjemby Aalborg (hometown Aalborg) is a university project developed in cooperation with the local tourism authority. They requested proposals for ways to maximize income from their agreement with a leading online travel portal. The result was a suggestion for a campaign to stimulate local businesses to also use the authority’s website for booking hotels for out-of-town stays. The resulting 5% commission would be put back into the local community through a fund.
The project consists of an animated video explaining the broad lines of the concept, and printed direct marketing materials and a communication plan.
